I finished the game. Here are my tips for this freaking final boss.
Pro tips against the final boss :

Three phase, you need to use various strategy against him.

Phase 1 : Berserker style, heal punch + some resting move + the perks that make both of you take damage when he attacks. It's a pretty easy phase.

Second phase : He has a lot of HP but doesnt hit that hard and take a lot of damage.
Go Iron Maiden, Heal punch + one resting move.
Go for the block that deals damage
Go for all perk allowing you to drain stamina and health.

Third phase : Now, that's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ phase because the boss has 35 action point and full dodge.

The trick here is to deplete his stamina.

Go for Berserker, triple heal punch, the same posture as for phase 1, and then take the perk that decrease the cost of all dodged punch + the perk that gives you one extra action point each times he dodges you. Eventually one move to rest again.

Also, remember: Between each phase, you can freely shuffle your points between stamina, agility and strenght. I dont recommend going above 18 in agility and put 50 in strenght and the rest in stamina.

Good luck. Also remember, each failed try gives you +3 stats points.

I did the third phase with attacks that had accuracy in the descriptor in tormenter stance, swapping out breaths as needed for energy. Also used the close fighting ability that makes attacks harder to dodge. Defenses were iron curtain x2 and turtle stance x2, not sure if the doubling up of them matters but whatever.

Seems like a lot of different things would work.

Small edit to clarify loadout.

In my opinion, defeating the final boss can be actually easy if you fully go for the agility route.

For phase 1 and phase 2, you can use techniques which can slowly drain out the boss stamina, while apply shadow clone jutsu technique to dodge almost all of the attacks. Just drain out the stamina, and you are pretty much good to go.

As for phase 3 (the part I struggle the longest), after many retries, I was able to come up with a strategy which works perfectly, is that you drain out the boss initiative points instead, as dodges (which always work...I HATE THAT!) require three initiative points every time it used, to counter the dodges, just simply using regular high kicks (which only use one initiative point!), kick the boss continuously until it runs out of initiatives. Once it runs out, it will just suffer for the rest of the kicks, and the fun thing is, the boss can't even fight back at this point.

So yeah, the boss can DOGDE, but it will not DODGE FOREVER!:steamhappy:

I beat 1st phase on 1st try, 2nd phase on 1st try, 3rd phase on 2nd try

Recently beat the game. It was pretty polished with almost no bugs, then after I beat the third phase and went through the door the game just sat on the city screen indefinitely, until I had to restart. Second time I lost to the 3rd phase and the game just sat there again with no stats screen or anything. Had to restart. Did eventually keep trying though, and this was incredibly effective for me:

1st and 2nd phases are just battles of attrition. Block. Don't block. Dodge. Don't dodge. As long as you have damage reduction in one form or another, vampire, keep your energy up, and use sucker punch, you're fine.

3rd phase is the trickiest but easily solved using a Trapper build. Between leech, dodge debuff modifiers, and using one attack (forget the name) that is harder to dodge, I just sat and waited until I'd eventually get a few hits in each round and the boss crumbled.

Great game. Had a lot of fun. Ending was a little lackluster but it's all good. 9/10.

For the Third phase what did you use specifically for hte style. cause ive been banging my head against the 3rd fight and its kind of annoying

For third face: torturer style with a lot of block and all the mods for extra enemy energy spend on block.
For attack i did sneaky blow and double inhale.. keep your stamina up until he runs out and thats all.

I took the strength route and used flycatcher for the third phase. With take aim and other dodge breaking, dodge energy regen buffs, it is quite easy to hit the boss.

Final phase is much easier going meatshield, stack the 'ignore damage under 11' ability and stack anything that exhausts. Let him do 0 damage by punching (only kicks will damage) and once he's out of gas, you'll win after a few knockdowns.
