1. The password is to the hard drive containing Mick's backup. If you are even able to ASK for the password, then it sounds like Casey has already shown you Mick's gym.
2. The hard drive requires repair when you get it; you'll need to take it to the scientist in the laboratory in the SW part of town to repair it. He won't charge you, but he will ask you to make a delivery for him, which will require fighting a senior police officer.
3. Once you've defeated the cop and retrieved the repaired hard drive, you should find out you need its password.
4. As it sounds like you've already found out, Casey is in a dead end man cave near the SW corner of the Sewers. He will provide you with the password.
5. In order to actually USE the password and meet Mick, just take the repaired hard drive AND the password you got from Casey back to Mick's gym. Your character will launch Mick from his watch/phone.
If the gym is already repaired, and if you have won the amateur leagues, then you should be able to begin teaching martial arts for some income. If the gym is not repaired, Mick will be shocked at its disrepair and you'll need to finish working on it. And if you are not yet an amateur league champion, he'll say you need more street cred to start teaching.
I don't generally find speedrunning very fun, so I usually stop fighting once the gym repairs and law studies become available. These tasks make you hungry and sleepy and bored, so it can be very expensive to afford food for training AND studying AND fixing the gym. If you stop fighting and training, this saves a lot of time and food and money, causing boredom/happiness to be your only challenge besides saving up for a few days worth of food. This is much simpler. By punching slimes during the day, and cooking noodles or bending beams at night, and sleeping when you get tired, you can save up enough money to buy a lot of food if you're not hitting the gym. Once you have a substantial supply of food, you can work full-time on law studies or gym repairs, which take a few days of nonstop work and are very tiring.
If the constant work destroys your happiness, you can fill up the red and yellow portions of the bar by watching television, then some of the green by fighting SIlver. Fighting an amateur league opponent can also do a lot for your morale. Money is very tight before you win the amateur league, however, so I find it easier to take a break from fighting while focusing on administrative stuff like fixing the gym and passing your police cadet exams.
