I have a wheel, but don't use it for MOTO games personally.
You'll see me in the 2 strokes leaderboards, up near the top.
But let's address the issue in hand.
If it no longer rotates, is it still a wheel?
If the maximum rotation is +- 60 degrees what is it doing?
Isn't a TILTING device more intuitive than a controller?
Isn't my method far more realistic than a controller?
Just try and open your mind, use some imagination!
And also, it raises some philosophical questions like:
- 60 isn't a wheel, but is 61? What is the angle in which it becomes a wheel?
- some could argue that the definition of a steering wheel matches even if it rotates only up to 60°, because it would be theoretically possible for a car to reach that.
I hope you don't feel bothered by my point of view here, more trying to give a different vision on the topic than anything else really.
Seeing as how the online in MotoGP 20 is just random lobbies I don't think it would be a problem from a competitive point of view, especially since the winner is generally whoever survives turn 1 and stays shiny side up, or so it seemed when I was achievement hunting.
I would disagree with the expense of sim racing, an old G27 can be had for the price of this game and plenty of top players at RSR get along fine with G27s and G25s. But that's a whole different topic.
If I replaced the steering wheel with a straight bar no one would complain.
So I don't think that because it's circular should matter, it's the function that counts, surely?
Controllers are an absurd concept in terms of real world bike/car control, so if anything, ban them
