Front end crashes
Been playing on easy mode with an Xbox Elite controller. Had no problems in Moto3 and Moto2 championships and won them, however in MotoGP, if you trail brake it just folds the front, every time. Have tried different bikes in case it was just the KTM, but nope. No way I can ever seem to scrub off enough speed if I go by the braking markers on the ideal line. Was managing fine before.

Is there something I'm missing as I can barely complete a lap without multiple crashes. Tried adjusting setup, tried different tyres. Same thing every time.

Cheers

Daz

More you lean less you use front rake. Not much else to say. Trail braking has its limits. Practice

I know how it works. I ride bikes on the road, do trackdays and I've raced before But just cannot get used to the MotoGP bikes so far. Won the Moto3/Moto2 titles using the same braking technique, but with MotoGP it's just crash after crash.

Will keep trying!!

after the last update milestone adjusted the front brakes which has made the game so annoying to play, fair enough set it realistic if playing on simulation pro settings but on standard physics it needs to be set back to how it was before the last patch

Last patch changed MotoGP class physics only. You can use up to 80% of brake force in full lean and you will not craah but exceed this and you have instant fall. I know its not great but better then was before where you could use full power. In full lean up to the apex.

saam here. it's just a matter of not pressing brakes fully. This really got me enchanted with this version. It is just so.... adult :)

So I managed to get the hang of it enough to put some laps together to do the pre-season testing. Just have to brake earlier than indicator suggests and let them off well before the apex.

First round of the season, you can brake as late as you like and not crash.

WTF!!!!

I was in the exact very same situation as you.
But I may have found a way to solve it just 15 mins ago.

Here is the story :
I tested the game on a ps4 controler (while I usually play on my xbox one controler), and noticed even if it was still punitive, the braking was easier to manage, like if it was more progressive.
I ended up tricking the controler profiles in steam big picture as I couldn't find one that suits me, and finally found some kind of preset that suits me.

Here is the link : steam://controllerconfig/1161490/2118172202

You may also find it in steam big picture> motogp 20 > controler settings > community
At the moment, there are only two controlers for the community, mine is the one called "MotoGP 20 (Xbox One Controler)"
Give it a try and tell me if it makes any improvement ?

Hope it helps.

Back to Austin Texas and it's front end crashes all the time again.

PsYCoW, showing my ignorance here, but what is Steam Big Picture?? Am I just being stupid?

Big Picture is an "alternative display" for steam made for controller handling (in case you use steam on a TV as a "console" for example : here is a guide to open it, and how to access to the controllers settings for a specific game : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqlS-biIDEY

Got your profile loaded and tried it and it's maybe a small improvement, but still way to easy to fold the front. I'd understand if I was on Pro mode or something, but seems a bit much for the easiest settings!

Update.

Think it has made a difference. I first tried it by loading config, then exiting big picture mode and playing as normal. Then noticed when I exited the game, I had a message telling me to use big picture mode for controller configs. Definite improvement so far. :-)

Glad to read mate !
I spent a lot of time on it, because I had the impression it was the way to go : it worked with me in the end, I'm really happy it helps you also : time was worth :)
