Slow on straights

Why when i'm racing, i'm getting passed by many other drivers on straights? I'm changing my PWR to 2 but still i'm losing many many positions on straights.
I have this problem in MotoGP and Moto2.

Is your body damage feature on? Cos I've noticed that the AI got no effect of it & yo do. Body damages will just slower your bike no matter what.

0-1 traction control and hard rear tire with change all that. Just have to get used to it.

How does a hard rear affect the speed?

It affects your grip coming out of the corner.

Surely that would mean hard tire - less grip, less speed? Unlike someone else here suggested

Also there is slipstream affect.

It was all about damage turned on and high traction control. Thank you guys, hope other ppl with this problem will find this discuss

Its weird sometimes. I remember in qatar...myself and a group of other 250 riders came around the last turn in one pack...as soon as we got on the straight they started pulling away from me like I was standing still... like their 250's turned into 600's in an instant.

Good traction and speed exiting corners, let the rider lean in ASAP, top gear maxes out at the end of the longest straight. For extra boost use fuel mode2

Its the complete opposite for me, i am as quick as them in the corners but on the straight im like half a second faster. does it maybe have to do with the difficulty since im quite new and play on 75?

Have you tried messing with the final gear ratio to get more acceleration or top speed? Are you red lining and topping out rpms in 6th gear on straights? If so you need more top speed. If not then you can trade some top speed for acceleration.

Also yeah I think 75 is pretty high difficulty. I stay around 60.

Are you doing the development tests and getting upgrades? They are absolutely essential to be competitive.
