Well,here is all that I know then :
- Trying to negociate / refuse / let pass a contract with a specific team within a season will forbid you to try again during the whole season. So gambling in early season and low reputaiton is ... risky ! :)
- It seems that the contracts are way more interresting once the last race is over, depending on your results for the season of course
- Yeah, as said in OP even if the negociations are running, once the week 52 is over ... you're screwed ! Back to the same team, with same salary and so :'D

I am almost done with the Moto3 season and was hoping for a "top fictional" team to give me an offer but maybe I should not risk it then.
