Stuck in Broken GUI / game (unable to select most options or quit game)

Hi, MotoGP 20 was working relatively fine just moments ago. Then, in a time trial all of a sudden the following happend:

1) I could not select the option "Quit Session" sind the cursor wont move from "return to pit" to "quit session". The cursor will move up and down between all other options, but on "return to pit" it won't move down further.

2) I could neither "return to pit", as in the dialog box that pops up the curser is stuck on "No" and cannot be moved to "Yes".


After force quitting the game through Steam a whole lot of things are broken with a very similar behaviour:

1) On the main window I can only move between Quick Modes and Career (I can switch between Continue and New). But I cannot move to Multiplayer, Customisation, Historic Mode, Downloadable Contents or Options.

2) When I move into Quick race I can either start immediately, or I can move up to bike and rider selection. But after doing so, I am again stuck between those to options and cannot move down to start the race, look at the leaderboards or select the race options or rider aids...

3) I cannot quit the game, since I again cannot move from No to Yes in the dialog box...

Verifying game file integrity says everything is peachy....

Thanks for trying to help, but if you read my post you will find out that I cannot open the options.

Update: Even if I could not change resolution in the game anymore, you still did help me. Cheers!

So I did what you suggested manually and deleted my local settings.

Here are the steps in case anyone else has this problem:

1. Deactivate Steam cloud sync for MotoGP so I can manually delete my local settings
   
2. Manually delete local settings, i.e. delete everything under "C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\motogp20"
   
3. Restart the game, everything works.

The resolution is definitely the problem, since it is reproducable. As soon as I switch the resolution back to a higher one (actually the one with the asterisk which I guessed means recommended), the GUI is broken again.

I think it will work perfect if you use gamepad at launch the game.
If I'm wrong then thank you for posted solution.
