I am frowning. With my mouth. Like this :(
Surprised that's not an option. Well, I'll make sure to go tag the game as Splitscreen and Local multiplayer, hopefully others will as well and we can get that information out properly through tags at least.
I wouldn't be so surprised split screen is not an option in the Steam params. Not that many types of games can use effectively split screen for offline competitive multiplayer. I can only think of fighting games and racing games. Most others (shoot'em ups, beat'em ups or even FPSs) I can think of can only do co-operative offline multiplayer. Anyway, thanks for the tagging!
Like .. every Lego game is tagged local co-op because me and my best friend can sit next to each other in real life.. and play together.
But we can't "go online" and play against other people. We can just play against each other on the same computer or whatever? ....
i assumed that's wha tlocal co-op meant for this game too. So this game seems tagged properly with the "local co-op" option to me.
Okay! i haven't bought it yet.. but!! i am before the sale is over! But couldn't help chiming in.
that's how I understand "Local Co-op" as well
there just isn't an option for steam games to label "local party joining others online to play multiplayer" and so we have to ask the devs :)
Maybe steam will one day add a "Local and Online Combo-Multiplayer" or something for the games that do offer both (which seem to be rare on the PC). I have a feeling that once steam machines blow all other consoles out of the water, these will become more common for PC.
I am smiling. With my mouth. Like this :)
does anyone considered race time sharing among steam friends or leaderboards
- is that implemented? I think it's missing ... (may be mistaken)
There are leaderboards. You can access them in quickrace by pressing the spacebar or the start button (if using an Xbox controller).
There are no 'only-friends' leaderboards though. Do you guys think it's an interesting feature?
Thanks!
"friends only" is the only leaderboard I pay attention to in any game. It's fun to rank 3rd among friends, close behind 2nd; it's not fun to rank 35876 in the world in a 200-way tie.
Thanks for your feedback!
