Character deletion question.....

I haven't played this game in forever. In fact, it's been so long, I don't even remember how long. lol I'm thinking of trying it again, because I'm bored and wanting to find something fun to play with the wife.

Now when we played before, I don't think we got very far, but if it's been too long since we've played a game, we like to delete our characters and start over.

So if we delete our characters, do they delete automatically?? Or will we have to wait 7 days, which will in turn make me not want to play.

What happens to the names we used?? Are they gone permanently, or can we use them immediately?? This also is a huge factor on if we even try the game again.

So, I thought I'd ask rather than download and find out the hard way. XD Thanks!!! :D

well im in the same position as you, in terms of not having played in forever. Last time i played was during closed beta and when the game was released the level cap went to lvl 25. I don't think you should have a problem with characters since my account is apparently wiped. lol and the names are available still. I literally just downloaded the game too, though not on steam since i didnt realize it was on here.

I don't believe I played during a beta, though, maybe open beta. It's been too long. -_-

You still wait for 7 days I think and the game has changed quite a lot. Sparks are gone, dragon gems are the new thing, talismans, etc.


At least Nexon's not as greedy as sh^tty Aeria Games.

Well, it seems all of my characters are gone, but my wife has a character left at lvl 13. I assume servers mergers happened, because her name was 65498432183516 or something weird like that. lol

Her old numbered character is taking 7 days to delete, but any new character we created was able to be deleted immediately if we wanted to recreate. I assume that changes depending on your level.

But so far, so good. :D My only concern is the playerbase. The game felt pretty empty, minus a handful of players. Does that change at later levels, or is the game pretty much dead/dying??

i may be going over to vindictus since whenever i go into dragon nest i can't see my cursor for whatever reason. creating a character was a pain and after doing the tutorial i can tell its going to be pretty unplayable for me without seeing my mouse. I would have to keep moving it randomly until i ranomly highlight the things i want to click on

Does your cursor not show up in the game period?? Like even at the menu screen?? Or while in-game?? I know that if you press ctrl, your mouse cursor shows up.

yeah it doesn't show up at all but its there. really annoying

I can see the mouse in window mode but window mode is too small to actually play. sigh lol

Most common answer is that it all depends on the size of your icons on your desktop. People claim if it's set at default, you should be fine, but if you've changed the settings it'll mess things up.

Beyond that, I couldn't find anymore answers. The wife says you could always try a uninstall/reinstall.......

ah yes! thank you for responding and helping out! I actually found these before but they didnt work out until i had the idea to create a custom size of the icons. For whatever reason even the smallest default size wouldn't work but a custom one did.
