Saints at this cap are very few and far inbtween and usually get booted from party before they can say hi. This coming from an EX Saint, Now I am a Crusader. RIP saint
(From here on I'm speaking out of my ass due to inexperience - just to warn you)
Generally speaking, as a Priest, your primary method of healing is to effectively set down a giant relic that pulses out healing magic. And then there's your party buffs. After that, you have pretty much nothing to do except further support your team by helping kill the enemy.
If you really want to focus on supporting, as a player, roll an Assassin -> Taoist -> Light Bringer. A lot of their gameplay consists of going into a floating, meditative trance where they pulse out healing energy that also provides a damage buff to all party members. Add onto that the summons you can... summon that add DPS and are also affected by your meditation, and you've pretty much got the closest thing to a Full Support experience.
But also, Light Bringers are overpowered because of precisely what I described, so if you are averse to flavor of the month classes, this is your warning.
But if you want a White Mage character, I would recommend Inquisitor. For one thing, White Mages have always had the powerful Holy, and in some cases, attack spells leading up to that. For another, a white mage, in concept, is far more than a healer - they are also capable of using some magic that is harmful, but only to people who deserve to be harmed. Like the undead. Or demons. Or in this case, everyone who opposes you.
