Dark Avenger vs. Warrior

I haven't played this game in a good, long while, so I just got back into it, and saw the Dark classes and such.

I'm aware this is probably a silly question, but is Dark Avenger more powerful than, say, a Mercenary, to the point where it'd be pointless playing a stock Warrior (/the aforementioned Mercenary)?

PvE mercenary/dark avenger is all around just average, if you wanted to play something top tier, I'd go with gladiator.

The answer to your question, no, it's not pointless as dark classes are balanced with other classes & do not have an advantage to the game in anyway except aesthetic & cooler skill effects.

Merc is getting a buff in the futre (sometime after Eyedentity takes over). Also Merc has some of the best awakening skills, which we'll also get later at some point.
