How do you progress on shard 7???
The enemies heal faster than I damage them at the beginning of the shard. If I could get enough candles to ritual once I think i'd be set. Any tips?

Use bat to farm ruby to boost enough dmg or just afk have souls boosting dmg. The cheese way is shut the game off for a few hours

I always save my Grim chest, for shards that give me problems. Grim chest will 90% of the time give you 20+ wax that you can use right away to buy some ruby and dmg boost.

best bet initially is bats because they not only drop rubies, they also increase your base damage by 1. grim chests are best used when you get them for the potential upgrade to your noname dagger they represent, which early on is not the easiest thing to do.

Also if you log off for awhile you'll accumulate candles offline, so when you come back you can just reset and have plenty of wax for early upgrades. Very useful if your having a hard time starting or only doing a shard a day or something.

i raised a lot of damage / crit. After a day or two, i had enough damage output to proceed.

I'm also at shard 7 right now, i just used the generate ruby skill top right to upgrade my dagger. I'm at the boss now and can't kill it. I tried shard 1 again and you can get a black chest there quite easily as the skills to unlock the chest with black wax are really cheap

If 7 is the blood shard in the first galaxy I believe I deleted the boss with mana lump lol, it's like the only time ever that skill was useful to me:)

yeah i didn't even see the boss at 50 cause the lump i cast as i walked through the portal hit him before he got on the screen.

Honestly been too long to have any clue. Rob can probably help more cause he still uses lump I think. Basically though I believe I got lump + the one that makes it pass through enemies (and lets it crit. You then want 2 + max mana rings (maxed) as well, along with + damage rings.

Pump up your base damage (blacksmith/fingers/enchant/march (your movement speed won't matter much sinc eyou'll end up stopping to cast lump anyway). You could still go wind mask though if you want (Think you have damage multi by then)...not sure if crit multiplier from mask works on spells.

Anyway you just need the crit up, the mana lump up, damage multies all up (for fingers to work you need to be running either rage or auto-attack from wind mask...so prob best to still go wind mask).

I one shotted the boss I think with a lump and each lump destroys a ton of the enemies on the way there because it passes through them.

It's the only time I used it, and it was months ago.

Ah, well I don't have mana rings. So I'll guess i'll go back and try and get some in earlier shards or something

Do you have voodoo dolls they work the same you just have to reset the shard till they come up as +max mana

Also the drops in the first galaxy are not random, so you should have at least 1 mana ring I think unless you broke it down.

i finished the last shard of world 1 with the wind mask i think. you can basically try with the red tree up to blacksmith for flat damage or the green tree with both poison skills and stack crit or damage-rings in your bar. then you learn damage or crit-damage with your souls until you do enough damage

as well as mana rings, mana breathing adds to mana pool cap, which in turn both allows a greater burst of mana lumps (from the dual effects of more mana to begin with and faster regen), and boosts its damage. as with everything in the game though, it's a balancing act. diviner's luck, the skill that allows both blizzard (with or without ice swords) and mana lump to crit, is fine with 10 in the skill for a 50% chance of crit on mana lump, a huge chance to pass through, and 40% chance to crit on blizzard.

although a few people are advocating using one tree, it's best to literally do the math to what is gaining, and generally speaking, the more multipliers you can fit in and get to a double figure level, the better off you'll be.
