damage and crit are not so useful for me, both lower the speed by more than they give back even for me with my hundred+ souls, lower players wouldn't be using these any time soon with confidence of gaining out of the exchange.
poison is so close to black barred on wind mask for me it's not really needed to go higher, and e27 range at 70 is the same as e27 range at 50, but with 50 more xp levels, so forge is no use to me currently at all.
the research continues. i'll make use of it for damage upgrading some time soon i think, but not right now.
I went from 6.48% progress per second on damage/crit to 6.32% per second spending those 2 souls. Thats pretty much nothing, considering value literally doubles.
I also only have like 52 souls total, but yeah boosting damage once or twice is probably worth it. Crit ....might be worth 1 point (for a 33% increase basically).
Most just are not worth it sadly. The change to 70 levels does make runs longer, but not significantly harder (though I do actually have to crit near the end). It also boosts the amount of wax you can get per run significantly though which is kinda cool.
Considering you will need to do those extra level while running with multipliers for curses, and that I have not done a curse shard/raw shard etc with the 70 levels yet, I do think the difficulty has been added sufficiently to use at least what we have now, and perhaps to use things that are added in the future as well:)
That is good news. I am a bit curious about the ability to go back to previous galaxies. Do you get new souls for those galaxies for defeating bosses?
There was some bug or something with this last shard I finished, it was a new shard, but there was no bosses in it at all (so didn't get any shards for defeating them). I'm about to go and try the next shard and see if bosses are in it or not.
I toss 10 points into the first poison skill and 5 into the second and that still gets alot of poison on a boss fast, but they all die so fast it doesn't really matter anyway.
I max out dex, grab march, change to werewolf, pump strength up to campfire, use rings to get from campfire to the 250% damage boost, add 4 points in to that (Free, doesn't stop your weapon from leveling up till 5), which maximizes my time without needing crits to kill.
When I get to stage 60+ I just finish pumping up the 250% strength one and just fly through.
That is all without hp multi, but I don't need anymore hp multi.
Cursed isn't really going to hinder me too much. Now RAW....that will change things up and i'll prob need to use souls to finish it as my rings add a ton (+6 stats gone and all that damage and crit multi!!).
I can make up for the damage and crit with damage souls and crit souls pretty easy actually, but the +6 stats on the top end are gonna reduce how many points I can put into everything. I may need to do more then 2 setup runs and get my wax multipliers higher for the first late galaxy raw shard I do.
Course by then I'll probably have boosted more stuff and be stronger anyway. I have enough skill points even if the rest of the strength and wolfy stuff gets added, so I'm prob gonna focus on damage multipliers and ruby multipliers a bit with future shards. I only have like 4 upgrades in each of them right now.

so yeah, forge is worth it. in a nice little twist, forge being worth it also makes homecoming worth it, which makes getting more skulls worth it.
To get 40+ souls to use by continuing forward would take a very long time for sure. I have 51 of em left, so if I spent em, i'd only have 11....not worth it for an extra bar.
