I wish there was a "canon" ending. [SPOILERS]
With the Evidence I had, few things were absolute.

Yuri was Deceived by a god and was using Architect to further his goals. He was also responsible for getting Henry possessed by a demon

Architect murdered Grace and wanted to make a power play and had her secret child murder the council.

Akiko killed the two prisoners to protect them. She also aided Architect in her plan in hopes of getting her guards the power necessary to bring them to Paradise 25

Witness was responsible for the demon in the end. whether or not his intention was to kill Monseratt and the council is irrelevant. Demonology and smuggling a demon alone is a crime.

Ones I'm unsure of:

Lydia/Sam: They wanted out and were recruited by Witness of the promise of freedom if they helped him. In my playthrough they were executed for this, but honestly I feel like it was the wrong choice. Supposedly they broke the second gate but I don't think death was justified. The main case was about the Murders and they didn't do that, they also had no knowledge of what the cargo contained. And if they were going to be executed for indirect murder, then Henry would be killed too for killing his mother while under demon possession.

Dr. Doom Jazz: Not directly guilty of anything, but i still heavily suspect he did SOMETHING. He had a broken door that gave him freedom of movement to conspire with someone else [Akiko possibly?]. The broken door is also near Syndicate HQ which means he's close to Architect and Akiko. Also has access to blood vials and a convenient scapegoat on Sam. He lived through my trial, but I Exiled him.

Crimson Acid: As far as I know, she was only guilty of getting the key to the second gate but that was more of her job about secret trading and wasn't doing anything Malicious. She was also vulnerable to accusations, especially the one about her inquiring Akiko about being a Marshal, but that's because she would lose her secret trading business in the next Island and was just looking for her next opportunity. Crimson was honestly the most innocent person on this entire island.

Henry: Innocent in terms of his mother's death and the council. I don't understand why his past crimes as a child didn't warrant his execution before any of this happened.

This game is an amazing gem and inspired me to post my thoughts. I hope this devteam continues to make good games and great music.

You don't *have* to accuse the Daybreaks. Since they weren't directly related to the crime, I had LD keep her mouth shut on behalf of her friends. Plus the council had it coming!

True, but I think you would still canonically accuse them since they did still commit a crime. I hope this game does actually get a sequel.

That's part of the game's theme: facts and truth aren't the same thing. And bear in mind, if you let them off the hook, they still face a punishment of sorts for their actions: remaining trapped on the Syndicate.

that just makes me wish for a canon ending and a sequel more.

If they live, would they admit that leaving was wrong and find new happiness in Paradise 25? would they actually get granted a wish to leave the syndicate? would they commit their own crimes to try and escape?

The Daybreak knowingly broke in the Council, passed all fours seals, and brought a big heavy suspicious crate in the chamber 2 days ahead of a big meeting. Whatever their motivation, they knew it was not the tidbits and snacks.

I'm with you on Doom Jazz, I'm suspicious but couldn't pinpoint anything on him. Except meddling with the birth certificates of his friend's kids, there was nothing sure.

I've got my eye on Doom Jazz. I think he was part of a third conspiracy, one whose conspirators we never met. The psychic death scream emitter pointed at Henry never came into play because of Carmelina's plan, but if someone wanted Akiko dead that would be one way to try your luck. He also seems quick to dismiss the possibility of a conspiracy when evidence goes missing under incredibly suspicious circumstances.

I think Akiko used Doom Jazz's information to help set up the coverup of Henry Division breaking free, but Doom Jazz was not on the inside of the main conspiracy.

Akiko controlled Henry's escape, including using thermite on the bridge but really letting him pass through the Marshal Barracks. Akiko was the one to use the Death Scream Emitter at the right time so that Henry would break free and then become inhibited again, just as she was the one to kill the two prisoners and pose them as if they were Marshals guarding the first Holy Seal.

I don't think Doom Jazz wanted to kill anybody himself. He was quite willing to discuss medical details about Henry or call out when Akiko was blocking him from doing a complete autopsy on One Last Kiss as well as on the Marshals (actually prisoners) guarding the first Holy Seal.

Doom Jazz is probably responsible for corrupting the Syndicate databanks, but just to keep his dead friend Eyes Kiwami's secrets safe, not as part of any council-murdering conspiracy.
