True, but I think you would still canonically accuse them since they did still commit a crime. I hope this game does actually get a sequel.
That's part of the game's theme: facts and truth aren't the same thing. And bear in mind, if you let them off the hook, they still face a punishment of sorts for their actions: remaining trapped on the Syndicate.
that just makes me wish for a canon ending and a sequel more.
If they live, would they admit that leaving was wrong and find new happiness in Paradise 25? would they actually get granted a wish to leave the syndicate? would they commit their own crimes to try and escape?
I'm with you on Doom Jazz, I'm suspicious but couldn't pinpoint anything on him. Except meddling with the birth certificates of his friend's kids, there was nothing sure.
Akiko controlled Henry's escape, including using thermite on the bridge but really letting him pass through the Marshal Barracks. Akiko was the one to use the Death Scream Emitter at the right time so that Henry would break free and then become inhibited again, just as she was the one to kill the two prisoners and pose them as if they were Marshals guarding the first Holy Seal.
I don't think Doom Jazz wanted to kill anybody himself. He was quite willing to discuss medical details about Henry or call out when Akiko was blocking him from doing a complete autopsy on One Last Kiss as well as on the Marshals (actually prisoners) guarding the first Holy Seal.
