Unknown blood trail. [SPOILER]

Is there a clue that explains the unknown blood trail in the counsel chambers after the fourth seal? I've exhausted all the dialog with everyone, and feel as though I've looked everywhere.
Does this get explained during the trial, or am I missing something?
I also haven't been able to track down what happened to the godflesh the Grand Architect had.

Both of those missing clues are found in the same place somewhere on the island. You'll need an item you may have found somewhere else to get there. I'll post the location in a spoiler tag in case you'd rather look around yourself: The graveyard hill near where One Last Kiss is found.

It kind of blows the case wide open, maybe not the best for such a random find.

To elaborate, you need and item from Sam's bar to reach the place, which requires a fully upgraded Starlight. Took me freaking hours to figure out.
