Anyway, this is the other game. As far as I've understood, this one is supposed to be just as hard.

Thank you, i know that, and i have that but like with 10000 other games i have, not played it so i can't reference to that.
I played all the CSI games, and i only believe the first was ever on steam?
But maybe i am wrong, VMware (where you install f.e Windows 95 or XP) and can play most of your old games with ease, it might be pricey to just play it for old games or well you can find "alternative" ways.
Having finished some, i was looking for new games to play, so i guess i might as well try Painscreek Killings.
The very first was on steam for a while, and with how it went with telltale games, i am afraid we won't ever see them, and as the above poster mentioned if they wouldn't run anymore.
Which would be weird with the later ones, as most of the games i encountered i still never had any problems with one workaround or the other, but wouldn't be the first that didn't run anymore.
Ah thanks, seems I only had the one on Steam, which was CSI: Hard Evidence, which I've put about 25 hrs in, I see, long time ago. It's gone from Steam, but there is still a forum:
https://steamcommunity.com/app/21730/discussions/
I recently tried to play it on my laptop, but it was just a black screen and some other weirdness, but I see there are tips on that forum.
I haven't heard about what happened to Telltale, but I have several games from them.
Anyway, I liked Painscreek Killings, so I'll get this one as well for sure, but my 'luxury budget' is kind of spent for a while, as I also ordered a new CPU today...
Hoping the game will do well!
Okay, Hard Evidence was the last CSI game, so not the first then.
Well Telltale started to make these QTE games like The Walking Dead instead of their adventure games they were known for (CSI, Sam and Max, Back to the Future etc).
If it were bad sales or just a bad organization i don't know but they went bankrupt and most games eventually and gradually removed from steam, some came back and 1 company has the rights to remaster the Sam and Max games, so i don't know where all the rights are plus the CSI also falls under the rights of the tv show.
Which is weird that they only had 1 CSI game on steam ever and that they removed those rights so quickly just the same.
I talked to someone that actually worked there, but really i can't remember much of the conversation anymore, but i believe the atmosphere wasn't very good in the end.
And i know the feeling, i just had to buy a saloon table (i moved out in may) and Metal Gear Solid collection Vol 1 at 40 euro (cdkeys) i rarely ever pay so much for a game, but it's bombed with negative reviews.
Tough financial times for many people these days.
