i feel like they are purposely leaving out things just to make it harder like why not put in the report who was the guy standing by the van? and also i swear there is 4 people not just 3, why is the person messaging 3 people? or am i just missing something? also is there red herrings if so why? i do understand that the game is just for fun but to me its a bit silly please help thank you, loving thee game aswell btw lots of fun so far

it says they purposefully left out stuff. and there are 4 people involved, the 3 people who were arrested (i.e., at the crime scene) and the 4th guy, Lorenzo, who set up the job and texted everyone the start date. You can see Lorenzo's text is the bottom most with just the date. You can also see there are 4 people based on the cut, where 5% was going to Lorenzo, 55% for the boss, 15% for the helper, and 25% for the getaway driver.

I still haven't fully figured it out (because it doesn't make sense) but you could assume the guy arrested next to the van was the getaway driver and the other two were in their positions about to rob the bank.
