Do many Weapons feel weak to you?
I have played this game for some time now and am a strict Jacob main (Perhaps this contributes to the disparity). Many weapons just feel so weak in comparison to other weapons. For example, the Dwarven Blunderbuss seems ludicrously powerful when compared to many other weapons. The Energy Blaster also feels way above the curve. (Mind you I am not asking for these to be nerfed as this would make all weps feel kinda bad instead of just most of them). Another example the Magnus Rifle (Not as powerful as the previously mentioned weps but still good) seems like a direct upgrade to the solar staff. In genera, the alchemist class of weapons seems to outclass the other two and I would like to know if I am missing something or if other people see this discrepancy in power.

Jacob does less damage as a downside, so you aren't getting the full damage. Jacob's power damage increase more than makes up for it.

But most weapons if lacking in damage have some other side effect to give use, so damage is important but isn't always everything.

The basic weapons are overall quite strong imo. The elemental weapons can get a 30% bonus if you attack an enemy weak against it.
I have all weapons unlocked and most leveled to max. I don't feel like blunderbuss, energy blaster or the Rifle are op. They have their use cases. I usually prefer a grenade as alchemy for the AoE though. Even Frostbow seems stronger, good primary and the secondary is so good for groups of enemies.
I really like the energy blaster secondary. Imo it could be a bit stronger. I think it got buffed recently. The range requirement for a perfect shot is so specific though, it could be a bit stronger. Might be wrong.

Overall, I feel right now the power level of all the weapons is very balanced. I can't think of a clear S-tier weapon since bird stick and solar guardian got nerfed.

Keep in mind I play on the middle difficulty (scholar) but even on scholar I feel enemies are damage sponges and there are a lot of them, and therefore any weapon that is AOE focused (good for the horde part bad for the sponginess part) or DPS focus just feels bad when compared to a weapon with a high damage per shot (Or per trigger pull in the energy blasters case). Perhaps this is simply a preference in weapon feel instead of power but every time I don't get to start with one of my favored Alchemy weps I groan. For example lets compare the frost bow to the energy blaster. The frost bow does 170 damage base with a freeze effect, if you hit a weak target you deal 221 base damage. The energy blaster base does 480 damage (per trigger pull) twice as much as the frost bow on a weak target. (these numbers are at my current playtime but they should progress linearly as you play more). The Blunderbuss does 330 damage on a regular shot (Note i am unsure how many pellets the secondary adds but if it is double than this number shoots up to 660). Now this is not to say the frostbow is bad, I think it is among one of my most liked weapons but even still the disparity between it and these two weps is quite large. (I did not mention the Magnus Rifle as I think it and the frost bow are about equal in power).

Stop thinking of the weaker weapons as useless things and start using them as tools, instance, I always carry blunderbuss or rifle or any other high damage weapon by my side simply for damage, then take spell for Crowd control magic like the hail and a divine wrath staff for that aoe stun, my personal wand prefferences is either the lightning one with three homing pelets and the other one being the fast one with explosive secondary, play around your knowledge of the game, not waround the power scaling

I have upon further reflection seen that many weapons were not as weak as I thought. While I do think the blunderbuss and energy rifle are unrivaled for single target damage, the AOE of other weapons I have found to be useful as well.

So far most of the weapons have been from okay-to-godlike killers. Other day I unlocked the magic sword... that thing is utter garbage. "Deals good damage in melee" or whatever the description says is such a lie. That weapon would be easily better if it didn't suck down spell mana for melee hits. Then it'd deal ~wand damage, but at melee range (which is such a hindrance to begin with) but deal different type from wand, for example. Or make the swords have some anime-esq short range slash attack so you don't have to literally stand next to an already auto-aiming mobs.
