Yep late game money is not an issue. Farm from level 2 on is best way to produce money. I wish the economy wasn't:
1. Doe farm
2. Spam build Farms (with Doe money)
3. Unlimited money (with no real reason to use it)
I dont think making you pay for producing items in your own village is the answer to that. The economy should be reworked so that production of resources in village is free but profit from them is marginal. Doe farming and farms should be nerfed. The idea is a gradual building up of wealth through production chains of various goods. As it stands now the economy is an arbitrary game system that you have to be pestered with at the start but is meaningless late game. Not a whole lot of depth or fun to be had in it.
Yeah, any of the gathering buildings quickly generate resources that can be sold.
You don't even need the gathering buildings to get some resources that you can sell for coin. You can assign multiple villagers to hunt, fish, gather herbs, and mine and you can sell what they bring in. The more villagers you assign the faster they bring in resources. Upgrade those workers and you will get even more stuff as they harvest multiple things simultaneously. I think upgrading the hunters early is a decent way to make some money, you can cook boar and doe meat for a pretty decent profit, just assign plenty of villagers and you will be rolling in cash.
Of course you can simply run around harvesting and selling resources, too.
