Where to find gypsum?

That is not gypsum. The name of the item is literally "unknown ore". Gypsum can't be mined. It's purely a loot/reward item you can only get through dumb luck with rng when opening chests.

"unknown ore" is not gypsum
but, in that cave is chest with one gypsum

That was just dumb luck that there was one in that chest. Chest contents are not predetermined other than the quest specific chests.

You have to be kidding.... Gypsum is a stupid rng loot reward only. That is dumb. Whoever thought of putting upgrades behind an rng loot reward should be shot on sight. Put the stuff in a very difficult area to farm, but never behind an rng. Why do devs always think this will lengthen the game... most people will rage quit before ever finding the needed amount to finish their village.

And guess what??? You were lucky and received the gypsum from the chest, where I was unlucky and did not get the gypsum. Any ideas where to find a chest suitable to get the gypsum?

They dont necesarrily need to be in chests that require lockpicks, they can drop from Campleaders aswell or be in storagerooms

Its really not that bad, i have not once ran into trouble with it, gypsum is only needed to upgrade 2-3 buildings, after that i have not once had any use for it. I am sitting on 15 of the bastards just taking up storage space

That's literally just the name of the ore. It's used in a few recipes.

Unknown ore is all ore you CANT mine whit the tools you have, at the end of the game there are no more unknown ore...The one you talking about id Pyrite used to make Sulfur !

my iron pickaxe mined an unknown ore, then I made palladium in alchemy lab -> crafted a palladium pickaxe. still it's an unknown ore. even in an alchemy lab when I craft palladium :)

Everything written above is just wrong and was my assumption also, but if you play a bit more you realize it's just a name how they call it and unknown ore will never change a name.

If it can be picked. I've used up all my picks and still not been able to open them.
