The half the other voices were good-okay, some are... they seem kinda boared of overwhelmed. As you said, they sound quite unnatural. No rhythm, no emohasis.
Sometimes they sound like people never read aloud before, or at least, recorded the lines the first time they read them. - You can't tell me this is a budget problem.
My english isn't the best, but I'm certain I would have done a far better job for minimal budget, or working there, "for free".
I mean, let's be honest, 10 lines for a NPC, most don't have more, don't need a professional voice actor.
maybe the voice actor isn't the issue, maybe it's the director and what emphasis they want and it comes off sounding in the wrong tone because the director isn't very good at directing.
Friar Tuck is also really bad as the first NPC you interact with. Sure, fully aware dealing with a small budget and resources, but still. So yeah, I would definitely agree with some AI used in places, or a buddy who did a voice acting gig ten years ago who they pulled in.
I see so many games where the fans ask for voice acting, but here is proof it doesn't always work well.

i'm going have to look up that dude as i have no idea who that is. but i also want to hear how diffrent they are if any.
with this said, i actually very much enjoy his voice in this role.
I came to check about Betani after her voice touching the annals of my soul. She sounds so much like Microsoft Mary that it took me back to when everything used to be voiced by it.
