Endless verification

The game is downloaded, verified... the verification stops at 99% and starts all over again. The problem is that the verification alone takes 30 minutes and is never finished. So i take a look into the download folder... it is empty. Will try another SSD. If not work i refund!

there is no solution to your rant because you refunded. with out asking for a solution first. why come here and post that you refunded, we don't need to know that.

Instead of saying that the game is not for anyone, you could have posted a solution. That would also be an option. Furthermore, I didn't scold you, I simply stated that it was a stupid post. If it makes you feel better, I'll be happy to call it pointless

cancel the download and verify the game files. this helped me last time i had a similar issue with a game

Thank you for your idea. I have already tried that. I deleted the download cache from Steam, changed the server location, repaired the library. The game is downloaded and verified every msl (3 times by now). The verification still takes about 30 minutes, aborts at 99% and the game folder in the Steam directory is empty. There is 1 terabyte of space on the hard disk and I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Steam 2 times in the meantime. I think I'll give up. It just takes too much time and doesn't lead to anything for the moment.

are you by chance installing this on a HDD and not SSD. If its an HDD it could be that its verifying and taking a long time due to slow speeds of the Hard drive

I don't have any HDD. It's on a Crucial Gen4 NVMe M.2 with 4 TB.
