Where do you get BRICK from?

Brick seems to be a pretty fundamental component for building a number of Level 1 buildings.

There is no clue or guidance in game about where to find it, or how to craft it. Thus far I have a forge and blacksmith. Neither one of those can produce it. None of the merchants I have met thus far sell it.

Help?

Hey! Just dig some clay (there are sources near the water stream to the west of your village), then you can make bricks at the furnace, where copper and silver ingots are made too.
