judging from the reviews this is another flop
what's with all these survival games flopping lately? Is the market to saturated? Are folks just to critical?

This is not your typical survial-crafter. It's an old fashioned free-roaming RPG with some cool ideas.

this is standard quality for a Playway title

It's not just survival games. Although the odd get review bombed for stupid reasons, most new games are borderline broken at release and deserve every negative review they receive.

Bear in mind that for now it's not a very big sample and players who are content with the game are probably busy playing it, it's an open world game with a lot of content so it takes a while to get a test of what it actually has to offer.

Yea. The 4 negative reviews showing for me are .4 .9 .1 .2 hours. Give it time.

All the negative reviews are people with 0.1 - 0.4 hours whinging about controller and motion blur (which doesn't even exist in the game) lol

I think expectations (as usual) are the main issue. I think many people (including myself) didn't notice the "Building Elements" and other keywords in the description and were expecting more of a game like Ark, Myth of Empires, Enshrouded, where you could free-build in a Robin Hood setting which sounds fantastic (Though I am STILL waiting for an MMO in this setting).

Having seen a few Youtube videos on the demo and Prologue I went back and read the description and discovered my mistake. I was not going to buy the game based on what I had seen/read but then the price-point came out and I figured it was worth rolling the dice.

I have not been disappointed. It's pretty fun. I don't think the game should default to easy, however; I think that makes people think the game is too simple right out of the gate and leads to negative feelings towards the combat.

Most people will negatively review anything that doesn't fit what they think the game should be, so like anything sample size, and taking reviews with a grain of salt is important.

So far I am really enjoying it. It reminds me the WITCHER a lot. Great game with a lot of potential.

reviews were 38% 10 minutes ago. Now they are 50%. I guess if you want to go after reviews, you should wait 1 or 2 days.

Generally i cant take reviews serious with a playtime of 5 minutes just saying "game ♥♥♥♥" or "game great". They just dont help.
Arasine Feb 29, 2024 @ 10:22am
Reviews are from people who have played 20 mins mostly. Wait a few days

Did the people giving the negative reviews play the demo before buying the game?
Were there significant changes from the release version?

Still the longest neg review is 1.4, then .9 and down lol

This. I've been so busy enjoying it that I haven't had the time to write a review. Which I will do once I've put in a few more hours.
I'm absolutely loving it. I didn't play the demo so went in blind and it's pretty much what I expected.

I think a few people have said this, but it reminds me of Witcher 2 quite a bit in the way that it plays, which is a good thing.

I don't know bought game today, been checking through some negative reviews and seen developers responding to them in respectful manner either to get no response back or rude from one of them. So would write a lot of them of as being trolls or overly critical.

72% mostly positive out of a total of only 98 reviews somehow equals a flop to you? Really? Did you READ the negative reviews? One of them that I read is invalid, it doesn't even count because buddy complains about motion blur but the game doesn't even have motion blur.
