Mouse / keyboard hud friendly?

Not a big gamebreaker but I've seen some gameplay on youtube and people were getting a weapon wheel (controller UI) and I am not a huge fan of weapon wheels.

Will mouse/keyboard users get a HUD UI hotbar with shortcuts 1-8 usable with keyboard? I hope so.

Good question. I think this game was made with keyboard and mouse support in mind but will have controller support on release. I read that somewhere.

It would be odd of them to abandon a system that works so well.

I tried the demo. There is no hud on the bottom line minecraft and others. You have to press tab, and it shows up like a wheel, but you can assign the things in hotkeys like skyrim or fallout, so you can still use 1 through 8 without pressing tab for the wheel, but pressing tab reminds you what number you may have assigned an item.

That sounds good enough. I can remember 1 for bow and 2 for sword and such. Thank you for replying that we're not obligated to use a wanky wheel :)
