upgrading high quality to full

why cant you upgrade high quality weapons and armor to full?

cause when i try to do it i cant, cause its always 4 squares left

You need to make the upgrade to unlock the extra slots. Go to your Blacksmith and scroll to the very bottom, each tab as it's own tier, each max upgrade is at the bottom :)

its super expensive and it take three +1 upgrades. I didn't do any of this till my last gear I was gonna wear. Tho by the end of the game I had enough stuff/money to upgrade at least another set of armor, maybe even two more lol
