There is aoe pickup - just hold "E" when you're near items, or whatever your use/pickup key/button happens to be. It can be a tad buggy but the devs. have been made aware of the problem.
Early quests are easy and repetitive to teach you important, but basic, game mechanics. You'll get beyond those pretty fast.
You don't need hunter sense for trees, just hold your axe in your hand and the ones you can chop will be highlighted for you. Want to find ore that's nearby? Wield your pick and nearby ore nodes will be highlighted.
You can expand your village's inventory space for coins, your carry limit, and your carry slot limit plus Robin has two chests in his house. One of them is linked to chests at every bed location on the map.
Seems like you're still learning the game mechanics, maybe give it a bit more time.
1. To pick things up - there is auto area pickup - you just don't know how to play the game, yet you complain about it.
2. Vaulting over things - they are even marked to highlight which you can, but you also can vault over fences that are not marked - you just don't know how to play the game, yet you complain about it.
3. The initial quests are extremely repetitive - if you keep doing just one thing and not going for other objectives/explorations/puzzles/etc then you will get bored - you just don't know how to play the game, yet you complain about it.
4. Combat AI - always can be better, but challenging enough once you move 5 meters further from starting camp/enemies - you just don't know how to play the game, yet you complain about it.
5. Trees vs Hunter sense cool down - trees are marked on the map, equipping the axe will mark trees, there is no need for Hunter sense whatsoever - you just don't know how to play the game, yet you complain about it.
6. Inventory space - purchasable and expandable way beyond it's needed - you just don't know how to play the game, yet you complain about it.
Do you see the recurring pattern there? Do yourself a favor and the energy you put into writing nonsense on the internet instead, devote to play and learn(!) the actual game.
Firstly, thanks for responding.
I didnt ''write nonsense'' - i wrote what i experienced so far, mentioning it was very early game.
The various things you covered - even if accurate, most if it still feels unpolished for a full release game.
Your response overall is extremely condescending and rude, unnecessarily so.
Yeah i saw the devs update about continuing to improve on the game, which is good to see.
Thanks for the tips on AoE pick up, ill give it a go.
I just got to the point where I built the first house, gonna be playing again tomorrow and will explore more, good to know storage expands.
I was happy to see fast travel is a thing.
What have you enjoyed about the game most so far?
Fair enough, apologies.
You went after AA or even A game dev, who managed to create a pretty decent game (yes, there are ways to improve it for sure!), so I took it personally because we have to protect such devs, not attack them :D
The game is a bit grindy and relies on gathering very many types of materials (not many, but a huge variety of them) but hey - still find to play :D
The early game when you need money - hunting deer, cooking meat, and selling it all is a very nice income generator and that's where I caught myself thinking it's fun! The right side of the camp where 3 deer spawn points are - when you are utilizing 'F' slow-mo and one shot getting those deers and bullet cam moments, where they respawn all the time - THAT was the moment I realized how awesome this game is :D
Felt a bit like good old days Max Payne, but with Robin Hood style - what else can you dream of :D
I didn't ''go after'' any devs, i said the game doesnt feel like a 1.0 release and needs polish.
I did reread my initial post and it did come across as a bit ♥♥♥♥♥♥, so my bad.
I do agree with you that the gaming community should support indie/not AAA devs as they're the main source of creativity/risk taking/the frontier of gaming as opposed to AAA which mostly puts out the same refactored sludge.
Deer money - thanks for the tip, i found some before and was blastin them, will continue to do so.
Have a good one fren.
I hate anything multiplayer, I only buy games if I know it has single player mode.
For me it´s like ordering spaghetti with pesto while i hate spaghetti and would love rice. Don´t buy it if it´s not for you. I love single Player Games and hate all that online multiplayer coop loot Games. So guess what - instead of buying them and complaining to the devs i just get games i like...
