Quit demo on the deer hunt quest. I don't about everyone experience, but hunting the deer is really annoying. I don't know if it's the range of awareness, random movement, or poor stealth, but I barely shot two deer and only because they stopped right in front of me. I constantly watched two to three deer running around and if I tried to stalk them they just disappear behind a bush or tree. The bow mechanics need rework to allow players sheathe an drawn arrow. Lost two to three arrows just because the deer ran away.

I never managed to sneak up on Single Deer.
Mostly because I can not see them among all the Foliage with some helping indicators.

In fact, the only times I got them was when they literally ran into me.

And combat is not much better, given that you might encounter enemies with shields (totally immune to your bow!) with nothing but a woodchopping axe.

2 words: focus energy. In other games called "Bullet time" - I think the first game that introduced it was "Max Payne". Essentially, hit 'F', then time slows, the aim/shoot. Easy kills.

How exactly will that help me see or sneak up on them?
All it helps me with is killing them when I again stumbeled over them with no warning.

This is supposed to be a hunt, not a benny hill chase sequence.

I also got fustrated at first.

The easiest way to hunt deer, is near the river betwen hunting ground 2 and 3. They stop to drink, and no foliage in the water to cover them. For moving deer the "F"arrow-time is very usefull.

Also, if you are in stealth, they sometimes just run into you. I killed about three with my axe.

You can just blast full speed into the deer nodes on the map and when you see one hit F and fire an arrow at it and it will go down.

I got two (10 units of meat) and then I gave up cause how long it took me keep them in sights to hit. I adventured around so much that I found enemy territory... and those fights were also meh... never made it to any building.

Dokładam się do przedmówców, jak źle się trafi to się błądzi i błądzi, a jeleni nie ma. A innym razem całe stado z małymi przy wodopoju w jednym miejscu. 10 czy 15 by w zupełności wystarczyło. Natomiast może to być problemem potem, gdy trzeba oczyścić plac i budować kolejne budynki, a potrzeba do tego żywności. Wtedy to 30 się już przydaje tylko żeby te jelenie znaleźć problematyczne.

I found that the easiest way to get deer was to just go to the pond where they all gather to drink, then in the middle of the pond, I'd just aim and fire 360. Bagged 6 deers in less than one minute that way.

Thank you all for your honest opinion about our game. There's still much to come and surely we'll work on improving hunting and combat in the game.
