I went there again without crashing so it was not the tower.
Imho those heavy armored knights are running way too fast and they keep seeing me long before I can see them. Sneaking does not change a thing atm.
That we can just walk slowly while holding the bow isnt really logical but rather annoying. I saw that it's tied to skills but I can't say it's a good idea. Since all melee are running way too fast the bow is just useful vs ranged at this point.
It would be nice to see the bow on our backs if we use something else. Same for sword and axe. The latter maybe on the belt.
The game has no frame rate limit while starting the game and in the game menu showing 4k fps ignoring the vertical sync setting. I had to force v-sync via the nv-control panel. We know from other games that this can destroy graphics cards!
While Alt+tabbing out and going back to the game I'm using the healing pot thats in slot 1 for some reason. Also happens on alt+tabbing back to the game or klicking in the middle of the game window. Really odd behaviour that. I tested it and put the bow into slot one and it activates the bow when I go back to the game. With the healing pot it is really annoying cuz those pots are so rare and the game makes you waste one with almost every alt+tab back. It only happend in Silwich yet and sometimes it just happens after the 2nd or even 3rd alt+tabbing back.
It's nice to have npc's running along but it would be even nicer if we could heal them if they go down in a fight or at least give them a shield to switch to so that they can survive longer. Saving someone from prison is just half the fun if he dies in the next fight anyways.
The companion shot me in the back while I was fighting a knight.
It was a shame to see those nice swords and a big shield at the camp before the castle but not be able to take and use any of them. (I had a feeling my sword wouldnt last long enough but thought if I would run back with the npc it could cause some problem.)
I have a Logitech G910 keyboard and after setting it up for the game and switching to the game it does not illuminate my gaming buttons for some reason. It works with other games.
Pushing the right mouse button while holding a bow makes close things really blurry.
A unfortunately very common 3rd-person bug is included in this game as well. The screen shows line of sight but the arrow collides with obstacles not shown in that line of sight. So e.g. if you are standing behind a tree and move to the right to be able to shoot at an enemy the target ring shows free line of sight while the arrow goes into the tree.
If your inventory is full and you are trying to pick up something that is on the buttons 1 to 9 it should go there rather than telling that the inv is full.
Love the graphics, the gameplay and the autosaves before boss fights! I also like that the survival part is not interupting ther game flow like with so many other survival games where one can not focus on a task cuz of the omnipresence of the survival "feature".
also unless I missed something, is there a way to split stacks? maybe i just missed it.
agree with others the stealth aspect needs work. crouching or sprinting doesn't feel like there is any difference. npc's and animals have total awareness.
same with harvesting. frequently with rocks i'd have to run around a few times to find an angle where i could hit it. Also, it would be nice to be able to look down further. If you are standing too close to the wood or ore drop you have to kinda run in circles before you can get the target over the item to pick up. needing to focus on the item at all is kinda questionable. imo it would be better to just be able to click E if you are standing close enough to it.
lastly, if you are in a dialog and are given the option of pressing 1 or 2 to exit, using that option will also activate whatever is in that quickslot. Not a big deal but given how it's also not very easy to put something away, or if a bow is in that slot and it changes your view/walk behavior, it adds an extra step that's just annoying.
A fatal error occures more often than everywhere else at the Middleman Camp. Once I got one at the Fairdene Watchtower but when I went back to that watchtower it worked.
At the Middleman Camp I had to restart the Steam client for the crash not to occur anymore. The next day it crashed there again.
Thank You for the report, constantly crushing game sounds like a real burden, we will try to fix this as soon as possible.
Well I had 4 crashes until now and only one place needed a steam restart. I´m exploring the whole map atm (lvl 18).
Can it be that we get no experience when we kill someone with the bow from max range?
Even hitting esc for the main menu makes the char switch to slot one for some unknown reason.
The screen keeps lagging and I even had to skip the intro video because of that.
When Came the time to play I changed the graphic setting a bit but there is still a significqnt time lag between the mouse and screen movement and the images are saccaded and not fluid.
For reference my pc has a GTX 1050 graphic card.
I'll try to give more feedback with more than a few seconds of gameplay later on
After relaunching the game and the campain the game became a bit more fluid. There is still a certain latency though
Good to hear the game works better after relaunching, have you occurred any other problems?
