Mining Picks For Quarry......more info?

So i read in some other posts the best way to get mining picks is from outlaw mining operations. It sounds like they spawn randomly in the world.

My problem is that I have been walking around waiting for one to spawn and i havent seen anything outlaw at all. The only things i run into are the bandit/goblin spawns. Not even mining operation. Just bases, camps, ambushes, etc.

Has anyone noticed if they spawn more in some areas of the map or maybe they spawn after youre a certain level? Any advice would be awesome. I have been walking around for a solid 2 hours waiting for this to spawn and im getting nothing. nothing outlaw at all.

Same here - no Outlaw Mining anything at all.

as i recall, all world map things have probabilities tied to the spawning region.

I thought it might, so I ran around rocky/hilly areas for quite some time, to no avail (yet). But doing it in different regions may be needed.

They are in boxes and cabinet in "Hostile Logging Camp" random encounters. Yes it is "Logging". I found over ten in my first one, right near the starting city. Thanks to Eurgemx over at the game's Discord for suggesting it. I was able to use 5 of the Mining Picks found there, to finally make my Quarry building in my town construction projects.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I walked around for another 2 hours and still nothing. No spawns with "logging" at all. I went ahead and used command console for it and just spawned some. It's still early access :)
