Why don't the gates open, I entered all the symbols and the gates are closed

The dragon gave a quest to find the crystal. I found the building, entered all the runes, and the gate does not open. what to do.
Is it possible to go through the wall to get a crystal?

your doing something wrong, or its bugged.

I did this last night and everything worked fine...

I also did a puzzle room in Molten Crag and had to reload the save multiple times to fix the bugged puzzle.

Worst come to worst, you can always use either the witch's broom (found in a cottage in Three Sisters Forest, I believe) or the flying carpet (desert area quest reward) mount to ram-and-ragdoll through the roof and into the "in-between" space, from which you can navigate to the shard and interact with it to progress the quest.
Ragdolling seems a little weird at first, but it's got its uses. ;)

I figured it out, just switch the two runes in the lava room.
