Where do I acquire the fishing pole?

Where do I get the fishing pole? I'e tried googling, etc. but no luck.

Fishing works like mining and tree cutting. Target one of the circles in the water and interact with it using the E key. Your fishing pole will just appear and there is a target and a slider you must time correctly to advance the fishing process. If you miss it the first time past, you will probably have to begin again...After a few hits, the bar will fill and you will land your fish.

That's one of the neat things about this game, that you don't need to obtain the mundane tools to do something. Not sure about the shovel though.
