22. As it turns out, coal only spawns in specific spots and I had assumed the lack of spawning in random locations was due to that, but after doing a ton of random events, coal is only in specific zones.
85. At the time, I was pretty cash strapped and was hording my ores, wood, and ingredients, so only had like 4,000 gold on hand. Now, I have like 89,000 something.
29. Well, at the time I really struggled with them. Nowadays, I ahve mini-meteor and it takes 2-3 hits to knock them out.
=====
Some further notes:
197. Mines of Molondir has a few issues:
-> The flying bots are aimbots, hit harder than goblin jetpacks, drop no loot on death, and can shoot at obscene distances, right through walls and floors.
-> There are a ton of dwarves here and none of them drop loot.
-> No lootables taht I could see in the fortress, but there was some crates in the initial siege area.
-> The artillery cannons can target you even if you are super close to the walls, and once they start targeting you, you cannot run far enough from them either. And they hurt. Like 200 damage a hit.
198. Ordwood has a general store that sells a Health Potion and Mana Potion, but doesn't state how much is restored. I've also never seen these in loot drops.
199. Nothing else is going on at Ordwood. No other shops, no wheat field, no quests, etc...
200. Brittlebean Hold is pretty low performance. Not sure why.
201. After freeing all the people at Brittlebean, it says I advanced the quest stage, but no further quest was added.
202. After freeing all the people at Brittlebean, the big door with the wooden pallisade doesn't open. Thankfully I'm a good jumper, so I jumped the wall.
203. After crossing the bridge at Brittlebean, a giant chest appeared, but asked for a Bandit Key. I don't recall getting a Bandit Key, so I couldn't open it.
204. I would have continued exploring Brittlebean, but my performance was getting worse and worse and was constantly single digits, so I gave up after having the best chest appear.
205. The Brewery structure in stronghold needs beer. Never seen beer. Only Ale and Rum.
206. I've visited I think 60% of the towns and side places now. Still have not found any more Pickaxes for the Quarry in stronghold.
207. Have not found any Spirit Essence. Not sure how to acquire it.
Excellent, thank you very much. That will help me a lot.
208. Built a cathedral/church at stronghold. Doesn't offer me any place to pray. Doesn't come with a priest either. Can't reset skill points either.
209. The Gilded Boletus is extremely rare mushroom. I have found no place where it grows consistently. Needed to build the Herbalist. Visited multiple herbalist shops and none of them stock it.
210. Built an engineering shop. Very limited stocks to buy, but there are two dwarves smelting at the same time. One has a mohawk and the other is bald.
211. The engineering workbench is accessed from the left, but when you use it and exit it, you appear on its right, for the built one at stronghold.
212. Built a barrel car and used it in the stronghold. Nothing happened. Don't have any new mounts. And the vehicle never appeared. No new skills either, like for tech, to summon it.
213. When I received Kick back from Whitehaven Brook, it was found in magic skill tab of skill book and the skill did nothing special. Now after reloading the game, its found in ranged and says I heal health faster.
214. Lionsmane patrol quests are by far the hardest as you have to find and fight 17 different groups of 5-7 bandits each. But the rewards granted for completion isn't even that great.
Even after going all the way around Partford lake, I only found 11 of the 17. Hrmm.
215. A quest I took from the goblin shopkeeper in Arema asked me to get 3 goblin shivs. They aren't dropping. I've killed like 200 goblins and destroyed 4 goblin camps and 12 goblin ambushes and haven't had a single one drop.
216. Encountered my first bandit wizard. These guys need to be toned down. They unleashed a volley that did around 500 points of damage.
217. There is all these unique looking bushes that do nothing.
218. Found my first baddie barrel. Completed the challenge, said to destroy orbs inside for bonus xp. Destroyed the orbs, ran for my life and it exploded. Did not get bonus XP.
219. Found the broomstick in Wolfdover. No tutorial on how to use it.
220. After jumping off and on the broomstick, my 1st person viewpoint borked.
221. Still no barrel car for mounts or in skillbook.
222. There is a druid stone in Wolfdover that doesn't respond to the attunement spell.
223. Finally found one last Gilded Boletus. Turns out they grow in Wolfdover Timberline. Built the herbalist. Two issues: 1) No NPC spawns with it and even if it did, 2) you cannot enter the structure as the door is shut with no "e" to interact. LAME.
224. Found another mining pick. Seems the only consistent place I've found it is Partford lake, on a table, in one of the bandit tents near the big tower. Still need 1 more pick to make the quarry though.
225. You cannot cast many spells in Stronghold, out in the area with the destroyed building plots.
226. I may be unable to progress main story now. Now I need to get respect in Elderglen of 750 points. Problem is, I've done most of the quests there and it doesn't retroactively track how many points I've collected, so I'm at 0/750 points.
227. Used a portal stone in the past. Expected to get teleported back to original location. Nope, using it and exiting to overworld will always place you outside of the Stronghold.
228. Fought my first Warp Strider. This thing really needs to be toned down. Its bolts can hit you from half a map away, with a large AOE that only harms the player. I tried destroying the turrets, but after firing who knows how many mini meteors at it I gave up. So instead I decided I'd climb it. Not the easiest to do, but managed to climb it. Got to the glowing stone, and attacked it and couldn't do damage to it. Then... I remembered that the warpstone under Esros required a special spell and used that against it and that destroyed it.
229. We really need more time to get away from the warp strider, before it explodes. Where I had to fight it, the jump did half my health in falling damage (750 hp max) and then the explosion did like 200 more. I would have taken my time to climb down, if I knew I had the time for it, but didn't want to be too close to it when it went boom.
230. The 300 XP (I'm level 21 so that is a drop in the bucket for xp atm) I gained by killing the warp strider really wasn't worth nearly dying 6 times trying to reach it. Though the skill point was very nice.
231. I cannot figure out how to open the Glennheim Hills Dwarven Door. I've tried multiple frost spells to cast on it, tried shooting poison bolts (who knows if its water based) and even killing goblins on the door so it rains blood on the door. Unless there is a spell somewhere that lets you conjure rain, I have no idea how to open this thing.
232. Finally found a tree hopper. Boy are these hard to see from the ground and hard to catch.
Have you found it in the mounts tab of your inventory? Click the green button.
I think to make it go up, you hit RMB?
232. You can farm Warp Striders, if you leave the area and return, for unlimited skill points.
233. I found ravens reach. Its pretty far south and tucked away, which is why I missed it.
234. I was asking for rumors and some mongrel coughed on me and now I'm sick for an hour. No idea how to cure it.
235. I was told there is a mana storm near the old Valenfort Ruins. Its supposed to be near the Old Harbinger Stronghold. Except that there are no Valenfort Ruins near our starting location. Unless they are referring to a different place.
236. Game doesn't like to pathfind to Velosia. After Elderglen, it constantly runs into problems and the wandering bandit/goblins have an equal amount of trouble trying to get to me too.
237. You can't use mounts in the overworld, where they'd truly shine. Even if you are mounted and exit to overworld, it dismounts you and forces you to explore by foot.
238. Lute playing is currently borked. You are expected to hit the number keys to play strings. Problem is it doesn't disassociate with your skill bar. So I hit the string associated with number 5, and cast mini-meteor and wiped out half my audience. And now I have a huge ass bounty. Comical, but not very practical.
239. Cannot complete Revenge Quest in Velosia. Have 5/5 goblin bands destroyed and the quest in my log says to return to Barlow, but doesn't have option to turn in. Probably not matter as in the log it says I'll get 0 respect or xp.
240. Similar issue to above: Culling the Bandits quest shows 3/3 bandit bands destroyed, but instead, it doesn't tell me to return to the questgiver. Again the journal says I'll receive 0 respect or xp.
241. A load screen tip says that when you are in a campable area, that glowing things are challenges to complete. I've never found a challenge to complete in a random encounter.
242. Riding the elevator down, the dwarven refinery, in Molten Crags, there is nothing to do down there. So you cannot get condensed magma from this location.
243. So at great risk, and difficulty I climbed the massive rock pillar in Molten Crags. And my reward... is nothing. The load screen tips says there is these runes hidden in the world, yet I've found none. I figured there might be a run up top. Guess not. Lame...
hard to see bugs and glitches between the 200 cry cause i dont like it points.
This list isn't for players, its for the developer. I don't really care what you think. I'm assembling this to provide a thorough list of anything problematic and let the developer decide if its an actual issue, what its priority is, and if its a major thing that needs immediate fixing.
And for the record, I am creating my own game. Not that you care anyway.
I did try that, but couldn't actually get it to ascend or descend reliably, until I hit RMB and aimed in a direction. But I'll try it again and see if that works better.
