Did you try going and talking to the bishop in that first town you got sent to, forget the name but it starts with an E. His is up on a balcony of a castle. Not sure if he can help but worth a try.
Needing to constantly feed in order to avoid daylight consequences is abit odd. Give in to your beastly craving and avoid negative side effects, but ignore the hunger, trying to keep your humanity & suffer the daylight. Firstly I think it would be better the other way round, where by not feeding has you be more human, with less vamp side effects, but less benefits & powers. Then the more you feed the more powerful you become in the night, but weaker in the day. Equivalent exchange would be good. So if my Magic, Stamina or Health has no regen or drains at say 5 units a second in the day, then I expect it to regen at 5 units a second at night. The same as if sunlight could kill me I would expect darkness to make me almost invincible. If I am -20 to agility, strength, or whatever weaker in daylight, I want +20 of the same better at night. Equal exchange. I like the idea that being a vampire gains some basic pro's & cons, but is almost no different than being human, unless you feed. Then the more you feed, the more monstrous you become, but the more your thirst grows to maintain your power.
As for now the way vampirism currently works, I don't really like it. That's fine, not everything needs to be tailored to me, I just won't play a vampire. I never liked Elder Scrolls vampires either. The vamps in Legacy of Kain are some of the coolest & some vamps in my fav vamp movies/shows are alright, (Bram Stoker's Dracula, Interview with a Vampire, Blade, Hellsing Ultimate, Underworld, Dracula Untold, The Originals, and Castlevania) but most games don't make them how I like them.
For now I would just like to see the option for curing vampirism at the church to be finished. Either I'm blind, or it hasn't been implemented yet. I had to start a new character, but it would be nice if I could reload my original after the cure is implemented (unless I feel being a vampire is made way cooler).
Same here, I always just thought people were weird and were too ♥♥♥♥♥ to actually type the swear word but still wanted some kind of effect out of the emotes.
As for the vampirism not something I would play but who knows as you seemed to get it as a random encounter. Having said that there is a lot of neat features in this game that the dev (single person as far as I know) hopefully builds on as the development progresses.
This game has been a breath of fresh air to me though, was so bored of the same games over and over with just a new "skin" slapped on. Video games are mostly stagnant just like hollywood. For example, I love that you can run through town in this game and knock people over, find it so hilarious. Love to give them the "clothesline from hell".
Like most games, being a vampire is supposed to have some serious downsides. That being said, the main benefit here is oneshotting tough enemies by using the ragdoll skills.
Like everythign else in the game, theres just a glimpse of what should be here to let you know the Dev wants to expand on it eventually. Unfortunately, one dev can't do much by himself, even with buying community assets- theres sooo much and the optimization becomes awful anyhow. likely it will be community feedback dictating what milo does as the game simply can't be EVERYTHING like he wants.
As for vamps, I'd say just add move speed and regen while not in direct sunlight.
