What build are you using?

I am honestly so impressed with the variety of skills and freedom of expression in this game so far.

I am going 90% two handed greatswords. I also found a poison bolt spell and a summon skeleton spell in the world. If I see a horde or group coming at me, I will ping a couple of them with poison bolts then switch over to my barbarian skills. I have a jump lunge that launches me an ABSURDLY high and long distance to do a cleaving attack upon landing.

I charge up a standard left mouse attack and immediately combo into the whirling cleave. I can follow up with a launching attack that is good at yeeting enemies and breaking armor. There is also a mega charge attack which uses no stamina and has three levels of charge similar to a monster hunter greatsword. I'm heavy on HP and heavy on stamina. I also found a knights claymore that can one shot welp goblins.

What are your builds?

cyromancer. just use ice spike and tomb ( a pick up spell) and i destroy everything. i take on hordes of monsters ungeared (cause the game ate my gear so im naken atm) i havent died once

Currently 4 points into Pyro and 3 into Greatsword...its been working great against goblin hordes. 2nd Pyro ability is great for taking out goblin jetpacks.

ATM, one point in 2-hand for the spin attack, four or five in to Necro (first spell is a homing bolt with ten charges!) and have fear (aoe that buys me time) animate corpse (because of it fighting for me} and two in to Druid for the 50 point heal and rabbit Travel form.

Bug note: you can't steer the rabbit with mouse control though (it uses WASD) and cannot rebind LMB (sprint key) to anything that works in rabbit form. Hope they fix that.

Stealth, Daggers, Fire and the Arcane Heal (you can get the two previous skills for free from quests). Sneak around, snipe with Cinderspark, laugh as enemies burn to death and run around trying to find me, eviscerate anyone who manages to or just happens to get close enough.

Unarmed is brutal. Starts a little weak but one shots basic goblins by skill level 12 with a strong attack and out damages greatswords around 15. Most of the abilities are cc so everything get's locked down then pummeled one by one.

Throwing daggers. Wall ride and hook swing. If you angle your camera when wall riding you can jet yourself

I am currently a Necromancer Assassin and its so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun. A little upset because my save is INCREDIBLY bugged out unfortunately. Every piece of gear I equip goes into the aether, never to be seen again. Weapons stay equipped but I cant put the weapon away with T. In all honesty I think its a bug relating to companions, whether its dying during the taming process or just after a pet dies but it really sucks lmao

I just bought this game and decided that I've never played a game and chosen to use spears before and that it might be fun. I've not yet regretted my choice, the combat in this game is awesome!

I deleted my first character because of problems with the spell selection I made and the Z Wheel bug. For example, I picked the Druid Rabbit Travel Form for getting around without using Stamina to sprint, but you cannot mouse-steer it (unlike Sphynx Cat Travel Form) and it uses WASD (cannot be rebound to other keys) and of course Sprint is the default Left Shift. That can't be rebound to another key either. My left hand can't use WASD and Left Shift at the same time.

So, with my new character at lvl 5 ATM I have one point in Pyromancy, one point in Archery (Triple Shot, which shoots 3 arrows without actually using arrows), two points in 1 Hand Weapons so I can use a shield and never get hit and also poke at enemies (Run Through) from behind my shield and use a spin attack (Spinslash). I picked up the free Sphynx Cat Travel form (which IS steered by the mouse) and the free Tombstone spell. It drops a Tombstone on the target that hits for 150 damage. Currently this is OP because it costs nothing to cast but that's getting fixed in the new patch we're going to get.

[Valdyr]

The Ice Shield ability in Cryomancy is incredibly powerful when cast at an advancing opponent's feet. Launches them into the air dealing good damage and when they hit the ground they are prone and stunned for a few moments giving you a chance to finish them off.
