I'm a Vampire
Stumbled upon unlocking vampire skills.

Got bitten by the Vampire at Hills of Devlenaugh (solo coffin in a huge, mostly empty church / castle like building).

Got bit yesterday, and after playing some more today, I got notice that I'd turned into a vampire and unlocked the skills.

Sweet. Is there any downside? I got a disease in one of the cities when someone coughed on me. I couldn't figure out how to cure it, and it kept eating away at my health. Also I was coughing blood, so gross. Had to revert to an older save because I didn't know how that would play out. I'll do vampire, though, as long as I don't have to suck something's blood every 5 minutes, or only go out at night.

I'll be giving that a try! It will go well with Blood Magic. I was bitten, coughed a lot but then got killed by a goblin and respawned. Hopefully I still have the bite's effects. Ta very much!

So far it doesn't seem to have any downside. There is a debuff warning that you'll become "bloodstarved", but it doesn't seem to have any effect yet. You can feed on villagers and enemy mobs. It's possible you lose vampirism once you stop feeding.

One thing that might be a result of vampyrism, is my stamina seems to drain faster while running.

Just go to your castle 0r one of the woods and rest for a few days in a bed. The coughing goes away!

how did you revert back to an old save? I thought there was only one, my save has a huge bug where my gear disappears, wish I could revert to an old one

You just make multiple saves and update them often, so you can load an earlier one if things go wrong. I think the gear loss might be the Slimie bug? If you summon the Slimie pet it causes gear loss.

I had killed that Vampire ages ago... always wondered if it could 'turn' me.

I got sick to. No idea how. You do eventually get 'cured'.

This is very possible. I swapped from my rabbit to slime and lost all equipped gear.

I like the way my character has to stick to shadows and move around underground to travel in daylight or stamina and mana plummets. Rather a nice touch!

After about 30 hours of play my stamina started draining faster. Before it was never an issue so I didn't upgrade it. Now I run out in a few seconds of sprinting. I have to transform to the Egyptian cat to get anywhere. Not sure what happened.

Are you avoiding daylight and sticking to the shadows or using the underground travel ability? My stamina and mana vaporizes to nothing in seconds in broad daylight.

is there a downsite for mana? dont have any mana regeneration since i was bitten and i am not loosing any of my healtpoints.

When you're a Vampire in direct sunlight you will rapidly lose Mana and Stamina, you need to stick to the shadows and use the sleep feature to quest and explore at night. The Vampire skill tree also has a movement ability to help you get around during the day if needed.

I'm walking in full daylight. It might be a bug though because my stamina is now draining and refilling normally again. I am interested in this underground travel ability. I wasn't aware of it before!
