not yet. on that note, save your broom and shovel. shovel is use in a building too.

The lake right by the harbringer kingdom has a little bandit camp area. On the table in one of the tents, a pickaxe will sometimes spawn there that you can collect.

Currently the only way I can find them.

Can you please post a screenshot, a small lake cannot be camped and cannot be reached withour going to outerworld.

The screenshot might possibly not help as there are elements of randomness in map generation. I realised this when I took a screenshot of a tower location, hoping to find it faster on a second character. The tower was on the opposite side of the lake for my second character.

I believe they are talking about Parford Lake.

I found one in a crate in Parford Lake, so my assumption is that there is a chance that they spawn in crates over the world sometimes. Possibly rarely though

You are correct. It can take a bit or you can get really lucky and find one in back to back maps. In my experience... it takes some time to gather 5 pickaxes lol.

I think that the random encounter "mining camp" or something like that has pickaxes in it. I remember stumbling upon one, once

When you enter a hostile goblin camp there are picks in the cupboards in the central building.

Has there been any official updates on how to find the pickaxes? Or is it just, checking bandit and goblin camps and hoping to find one?

Hostile logging camps tend to have a bunch, in my experience.

I found 9 in one such camp.

I found picks in a ruin on the icy zone : there are goblins standing there and 4 x 2 chests containing very often either tools to open locks or picks. I got my five picks after 7 or 8 respawns.
