[BUG] Can't attack, change weapons, or use skills

Some times when using a two handed sword skill (cant remember the name but the one in the middle row with sword impaling the ground) I cant attack, change weapons, or use skills. I have to restart. I can still interact, but it sucks when I am in combat and have to quit

I found when this happens, if I jump and hit both my mouse button rapidly, my weapon and skills start to respond again and I can interact with objects again.
The first couple times it happened, I saved and reloaded. But I played around with it and figured out a work around.

you might also find that your hotbar doesnt work sometimes. Youll be able to tell because the numbers for the keys dont show up. Press control twice to cycle bars and then it works.

I've had this happen to me a few times, but I can never find what the root cause is, so I have a hard time replicating it! If you manage to figure out how to reliably replicate it, pleeease let me know how you did so I can squash the bug ASAP! (:

This also happens to me. I have to go to the overworld and back to fix it. I'll have to try the jump and mouse spam method! I am also using a two handed weapon, I wonder if that has anything to do with it

None of these tricks seems to fix it for me. Only by loading an old save does it fix itself.

iim pretty sure this is UI related. A fair amount of bugs are caused by the UI either not closing or opening one element or another. (not sure what they are called in the engine your using, in UE they are called elements).

You guys use windowed? happens to me if I accidentally click outside the window without pausing the game first.

I've also only had this happen to me with spears, halbeards and greatsword. I have the cryomancy spell so maybe it has to do with doing a melee attack too close to casting a spell? The slip is too funny

I am in window. I play on a 32:9 screen and the game doesnt support that. I do often click outside the screen, but i havent noticed any pattern suggesting its what causes the UI issues.

I can only say playing as Arcane and 2H Sword, this bug consistently happens to me at the worst of times, only got the game today and it's been well over a dozen times, the only constant to report is I'm swapping an Arcane toolbar with a 2H Sword one, usually happens in the midst of heavy combat, with jumping, running, swapping hotbars, number mashing, etc.

Hey dev, I think I narrowed it down a bit. It happened consistently when my graphics were set to "windowed" but hasn't happened anymore after I switched to "windowed fullscreen."
Testing with regular fullscreen now.
But like what PhillyHouse said, it seems to happen when there's alot of button presses at once

I'm on regular fullscreen and just had it happen, I couldn't attack at all.
I just noticed talking to an NPC fixed it for the time being though.

This has happened to me a few times. twice it was when I spammed the #1 hotbar (blue missle spell) until I was out of mana. when my mana was depleted nothing worked anymore. The other times it happened, I'm not sure if anything I was doing stood out as a catalyst

It happened again as I spammed the hotkey to cast spells. I see others somehow 'resetting' it to make it work again. Nothing I did made it work again until I went into the overworld map and re-camped.

This seems toalso happen to me every time I fish with my 2hand weapon out. All I ahve to do to fix it is swap to my bow and back. I also know this does not happen if I fish with my bow out instead of my sword.

It just happened to me, after I used the two handed skill Cataclysmic Split on a goblin wearing armor. (I believe it's the Cataclysmic split destroying armor)

Edit: I just recreated the bug using Cataclysmic Split on an armored goblin cutter.
