Class question

Every guide i've been able to find uses the phrasing "starting class"

Are there additional classes to unlock, or learn down the road?

That's because you choose a class when making your character at the start of the game. Later you get more followers in your team, and they have their own classes assigned. No option for multiclassing, but you can restart the ability tree to go with different skills if you like :)

Do note that the class you pick from the start will always be the class your main character is.

For some reason i chose a bard.. sucky at first, but he holds his own in battle at higher levels. Next run through, probably play a class with better resting ability, like Lancer, that repairs armour/weps and also clears boulders.. but honestly, no matter what you pick, the rest of the group will pick up the slack... great game!!

Oh yeah, this was more just a question of if there were advanced type jobs/classes and if you needed to be XYZ to unlock ABC type deal :)

You did need to have certain classes to unlock certain "blockers" in the game, though they softened that after a patch by allowing things to be bought to allow certain classes to do the skills of another with those blockers.
