First off, great username.
Second of all, brightly colored low-poly artstyles are not uncommon in videogames, and for good reason; they have a very high range of appeal, and allow for detailed yet clean looking visuals. Though I do not work at GETUP Games, these reasons do apply to many other comparable games, and I do see the similarities.
Rest assured that the game uses it's own models, and some elements being constructed as we speak! In fact, you can follow the progress of the modelling and the rest of the development through the roadmap, linked on their website, or through their Discord.
