Only English AGAIN ?

Come on guys, why isn't there a localisation for French, Italian, Spanish, Portgugese, German, etc. ?
This is one of my favourite videogame franchises, I'm so tired to have to read it in English.

My guess is this game got localized to English just because of how unexpectedly well Trilogy 2019 sold, especially in the US (they're even doing a physical release there). But the leaked documents mentioned French, German, Korean and Chinese localizations for AJ/DD/SoJ in a hypothetical second Trilogy port

Apollo Justice was already released in French thankfully (I don't know about other languages though) but I sure would love a translated version of DD and SoJ. I don't mind playing the games in English (I may even prefer it) but it does feel like we're being left out... and it's true that a lot of people need the translations to play the games, or at least be able to enjoy them fully.

Interesting leak, thank you for that. Recently, RGG Studio proved that localization was a great added value to a franchise. Judgment and Yakuza Like a Dragon sold incredibly well, thanks to the long-time expected translation. It opens the franchise to a brand new fanbase, so I hope that Capcom will do the same effort.

For whatever it's worth, DD and SoJ had limited releases even in English - I'm pretty sure both were digital only, unlike Apollo Justice. It felt like Capcom didn't feel much faith in the franchise for a bit there. Here's hoping further localizing proves that idea wrong!

Yeah, in fact they justified those future new localizations because Trilogy did well in those countries where the game got localized (iirc France had almost 35k copies sold) but the leaks point out they might not even recover the investment this time. But it seems they’re gonna try anyway, we’ll have to see if the second Trilogy gets released

Meanwhile there is almost never a Dutch translation for games. Just deal with it. Once you learn English, you're set for life.

I know English, thanks. But I'm working in English, in front of a screen all day long. So I'd prefer a text-based game to be in my mother tongue as I'm already tired enough by work. Many games are translated in several languages at least. Those spoken in several countries is the minimal service.

If I demand all my games to be translated into Indonesian, guess how much games I would play... Zero, and ironically we are the 4th world most populated country in the world. I understand the feeling, probably similar feeling as if the game was only released in japanese, but fortunately this is not the case.

The first world problems... entitlement.

Hopefully making a translation patch for this version of the game won't be too much trouble.
I'm definitely gonna look into it day one and see how possible modding the game's text is.

If it's not too difficult, i would at least consider working on a spanish translation.

Not sure whether localizations are based on the country density or the number of players of the series in that same country. Maybe some partnerships interfere too.

Localizations are based on the number of sales of a territory. If the game has very low sales, they won't invest in localization.
