Blue text in game
So, for a while I've been wondering, what is the blue text supposed to mean when Naruhodo says something. I assumed it was something like he was thinking about it, but quite often Susato will comment on what he says there. I'm on the second case of the second game, and I would like to avoid spoilers, but is Susato supposed to be psychic or something?

It is what Naruhodo is thinking, yes. The same thing happens in the Phoenix Wright games with Phoenix. The fact that their assistants always responded directly to it confused me, but iirc it gets semi-explained (more like lampshaded) later in that they can tell exactly what they're thinking just by looking at their expressions.

Yes, when the text is blue, it's showing what Naruhodo is thinking. Kazuma comments on this in the Japan-exclusive 3DS DLC "Asinine Attorney: Japan" case. He says that Naruhodo often “lets his inner voice spill out to his actual voice”, which means that he’s unintentionally saying the blue text out loud. As the DLC isn't confirmed to be canon, this might not be 100% true.

However, as it comes to the main game, Susato says (in the fifth case of Adventures, if I recall correctly) that Naruhodo is very easy to read. And from the top of my mind, other characters such as Yujin, Soseki and Gina all "read his mind" at some point. Naruhodo himself once even said that the "Mikotoba family are mind-readers", Susato replying with something along the lines of "the Naruhodo family simply have very readable faces", which is quite possible considering how dramatic he often shows himself to be, and how expressive he is in his mannerisms and thoughts.

the same also happens to phoenix and edgeworth, where their assistants can tell what they're thinking
Naruhodo is just really bad at hiding his thoughts, is all
