Cannot present evidence in Episode 2 investigation [Spoiler]

I'm stuck in this episode... I'm up to the part where I'm meant to present evidence to Hosonaga to be able to move to the next room, but after having read through both his dialogue options and Susato telling me to present evidence, I cannot present evidence. Using 'E' and then selecting the evidence/item to present, 'R' is not an available option to show Hosonaga. And now I'm stuck in a loop of those two segments of dialogue, unable to move forward. I have also tried presenting during Hosonaga's dialogue, but the game still does not give me an option to. Does anyone know the solution to this?

It sounds like you're trying to present through the Court Record ('E').
To present, you have to exit the discussion menu (with 'Z'), then you'll have 4 options: Examine, Converse, Move, Present. Select the last one and you should be able to present evidence.

Thank you so much! I figured it out after having played through the episode again, but yeah, the mechanic of having to go 'back' with Z to get the other options was super unclear at the time. Hope this helps other players playing for the first time :)
