stuck on case 2 please help! (spoilers)

i’m on investigation pt 3 of the speckled band case, and i’m in the middle of correcting sholmes’s deductions. i’m trying to choose the photograph of pavlova and her cat but for some reason i can only choose the photograph frame? i’ve tried clicking around or training the crosshairs specifically on the photo but it says everything is incorrect? i feel like tearing my hair out and i can’t progress even though i’m so excited to play :( can anybody help me out please?

Got stuck on that one too, hah. You have to inspect the photo first (Spacebar by default with keyboard controls), and then present the cat on the photo.

Yeah in this game, as soon as you get any evidence, inspect all of it since it could either update said evidence, or give you a new one entirely.

remember its a 3ds game on a tiny screen so even if its clearly viewable in HD, just, inspect, inspect, inspect and inspect befor presenting.
