Also the store page video makes it look like the game runs faster than 30fps, odd. THe previous game ran smoothly at 60 but had no animated parts either.
That said, it's annoying that Capcom lied about the fps. All the trailers on youtube were at 60fps so it's like Capcom pulled a fast one on us
I haven't found a way to remove the cap but if it's possible I'm sure someone will eventually. May end up breaking the game but would still be interesting to see.
The iPad versions of the 3D Ace Attorney games have the same thing going on. I assume the game was specifically designed to animate at 30 FPS. It's a shame but I can overlook it.
Would be nice to run at 60+ FPS if it doesn't actually case any issues with the game.
All of the 3DS Ace Attorney games target a locked 30FPS, a trait that generally carries over when the game is ported. This is generally because developers don't see a need or don't have time to modify the game for a new framerate target.
While some of the trailers for the collection were rendered at 60fps, only the footage that was not in-game where 60 (like the title cards ect.) seems the game footage was 30fps. Still it is strange the game is 30fps when on 3DS it is 60fps (on the emulator).
