These games were written by the original writer of the trilogy, which is pretty cool. The newer Ace Attorney games like AJ and DD were written by different people afaik.
Only potential problem is that the pacing can feel a little slow at times but it's still very good, don't worry.
Edit: Oh and the music is great too. Bangers all around.
I think it's worth.
However, Cases 5 through 10 are absolutely amazing. Ace Attorney games are usually very good at capitalizing on mysteries they've set up over the course of the game, and TGAAC does this over 2 games. Game 2 is very much a continuation of Game 1, more than any previous entry in the series. And it's because of this, that the payoffs in the final few cases of Game 2 are absolutely grand.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is my favourite Ace Attorney game to date. TGAA1 might seem a bit rough around the edges but keep going and I feel like you'll come away satisfied.
And even if you're still on the fence, get it for my sake, so that Capcom keeps making more of these games lol.
