I have one flawless kill so far. I finished with all ships and full health. Usually lose one ship though. But yeah. Killed him heaps.

I have taken one screenshot of a kill where I was nearly full health but for some reason I can't take them through steam. I can't even get the overlay to work with this game. Other games I try and type in the chat windows and the stupid steam overlay pops up. This game I can't even force it to come up. Anyone got it working with this game ?

I have a nearly maxxed fleet.

Two important things you will want. You might not NEED them but it makes it easy.
1) focus on heal skills. Both repair and heal sailors. Skill books for repair have been hard to find.
2) Equip ALL mortar - grape shot. I have 7 banks of 18 shot exquisite mortars on all 8 ships.

What ships are you running outside of the quest reward ones? The galleons are what I have

Heavy galleons? They might do it. If you have enough healing. They are a bit soft skinned.

I have Santa ana Clipper, Santa Martin Clipper, Holy Trinity Battleship, Regazonni Sailboat and 4 De Zeven Provincien Battleships.

I guess I need to farm the De Zeven Provincien battleships. Do you know a good way to spawn the GM Ghost ship?

He is always there. You need the small island SW of Lima. The quest is on the island and the GM fleet sails around it. It starts it's lap of the island at a few different points so you I left town and sailed clockwise around the island till I ran into it. It goes around anti clockwise so you run into him and aren't chasing him. I actually got the full blueprint to drop long before I got 200 quest parts. You build them in Lima so have lots of bits and heaps of cash as they are over 40M each to build.

My first tries at the prince was with heavy galleons and I could get 3 or so killed before I wiped and that was with vulcans which are not ideal. I suggest trying the prince at least once with a full fleet of grapeshot ships and seeing how you go. My fleets way, way, way OP for this guy now and I sort of stumbled into it without finding what the minimum needed to kill him is.

I have tried him a few times, not with full grapeshot, but I even built some galleas' and was considering the Arrabian Dhow, but I hate the close combat ships in this game. I miss Uncharted waters new horizons, where the Venetian galleas had guns and close combat

Any ship can do boarding. Just don't put any cannons on it.

Well I am at 182 parts right now, still no full blueprint. Back to the grind

So I made 1 De Zeven Provincien battleship and put all grape shot on my ships. Granted they are not all the 18 well crafted ones, but I can take him out with only losing 2 ships. I believe the Heavy galleons could do it
