First puzzle that has me stumped, I am rotating and going through all the layers and every unsolved thing has multiple solutions. Do the puzzles get to a point where they cant be solved a layer at a time and you have to randomly pick an option and see if it works out? Kinda like the working solution is a daisy chain of different layers / directions? Might be a bit much for my smooth brain....

Would it be possible to have randomly created 9x9x9 puzzles? I'm starting to find the 7x7x7 noise puzzles to be a bit easy for me. My guess is no because it would probably take too long for the game to make the puzzle.

If the max number of custom puzzles is 10 in an uploaded workshop item, how come this one has 12 puzzles in it? (I did solve all of them).

Workshop is now supported, but to create puzzles you will need external tool. Here is how to do this.
