Demolish Problem

Having a problem and I hope someone can help. Best way to describe is this: What if I build inside my casino a 4x4 wall with no door and want to delete it? Tried demolish and not only will it not delete, it expands it. The 4x4 wall therefore just keeps getting bigger. The wall removal tool will not remove the square wall either. Please help. Thx

Without seeing a screen shot of your casino it sounds like you removed the foundation of your building with the demolish tool and as you removed the foundation a new exterior wall was built. You may need to rebuild the foundation then use the wall removal tool to remove the interior walls you do not want

No that didn't help unfortunately. I can't believe its this difficult to erase something. Got so frustrated that I'll think I'll wait until this problem is solved. Should be easy but when I try to erase it makes that square bigger. Thanks though for your help.

please upload your save to the devs with the integrated bug reporter. Add a description first. After you upload it please post the ref id in this thread. TY

Just to confirm: removing walls is very easy - normally you would just select the remove wall tools and drag over the walls. The issue is that the two tools can be easy to mix up, and once you convert an inside area to outside it can be unintuitive and therefore becomes difficult to know how to fix it after.

I'd be surprised if filling in the middle with foundation and then removing the old walls didn't fix it - you would need to start from the edge so that it fills in and not just adds walls. Looking at the save file it looks like this is exactly the problem (I managed to fill them in and remove the old walls).

I've got it on the todo list to take the three (yes three) seperate delete tools and merge them into one. That should resolve the issue when we get to it.

I've had the same problem. No matter what I try, it just keeps expanding the walls as opposed to deleting them. It really shouldn't be this difficult.

you are using the wrong tool. the tool you want to remove walls is on the left hand side called "Dismantle fences and walls" The demolish tool will remove the foundation of the building or the floor you are on.

Having issues with demolishing as well. I'm still learning the game building functions even after the tutorial, so I mislaid a wall down by mistake. Trying to dismantle the wall, but it's giving me a pop up that it requires an indoor area. Having trouble getting past that point, I've put walls up where I wanted them, just hit the area to build that first wall by mistake. Still am not able to dismantle.

I really want to like this game but this is hampering my enjoyment, because at this point all I want to do is just start over from square one. I feel like an undo button would greatly be of help here instead of having to take several steps just so you can correct your error.

Looking at the above tips from the devs. I've been trying both dismantle fences and walls as well as demolish, just to be sure I wasn't using the wrong one of the two. I'll keep looking though thanks.

Edit: Loading the game this morning, tried the same thing and it worked just fine to delete. Maybe it was a glitch last night.
