Questions about the game before buying.
So, I am considering buying it, but I have questions.

1: Does the multiplayer work well? Can you properly connect to other people?

2: How does the game play when playing co-op? Does the game work well when played together? (Unlike 1, I am trying to guage how fun and well done the multiplayer works, as opposed to if it works.)

3: How buggy is it? I know all games have bugs, and so a few issues now and then are fine, but I want to gauge how buggy it is. (Practically none at all? A few, but tolerable? An obnoxious amount? Practically Unplayable?)

4: How long is the game? Is it at least as long as Aragami 1?

5: Without too much spoilers, are the abilities fairly fun and well thought out?

1. Er .. uhh ... let's see: if the people you want to connect use the same platform as you (Steam for instance), you guys can connect 100%!! The problem is when you and your friends are in different platforms. There is no easy way to invite someone from a different platform so basically you have to host a Public game and hope your friends find your session while you keep kicking players that are not your friends to keep the slots available. :(

2. IT IS FUN AS HELL!!! You guys can try all sort of strategies to clear the missions: everyone for themselves, do everything together, set up the guards for your friend to get rid of. I would admit that getting the "Never Detected" medal in multiplayer is super hard because so many things can go wrong but it's soooo satisfying when the team get it. :)
NOTE: the game has a "mark" command you can use in multiplayer to indicate locations or people to kill/get rid of for the team but that is not enough to tell your team stuff. So the game is lacking in emotes or stuff you can use to communicate with your team. If you are planning to play the game with friends, I HIGHLY recommend using Discord or whatever you can use to talk. It helps sooo much!

3. In single player, the bugs are barely there ... on the other hand ... in multiplayer .. oh boy! Yes! There are a lot! IMHO, once you know what NOT to do and what doesn't work during a multiplayer session, you can have fun sessions playing with friends. In short, the game is still fun (my opinion). If you check the reviews of this game, you'll see 90% of the complains of the game have to do with multiplayer,

4. OK. The game is long but there are things to consider: if you play with a veteran player who can carry you, the game can be very short. Also, many scenarios are repeated and re-used and that makes the whole thing feel like you are playing filler missions. There are a total of 51 missions. Playing normal, I think you can take 20 hours to complete (and that without getting everything).

5. The new abilities ... this one is interesting ... in short: they are OP. They are so many things you can do to the guards. On the other hand, most players don't seem to care! I have join sessions where the team is waiting for a guard to get close to a door to take him out, and just because people can't wait 10 freaking seconds, they just jump on the guard triggering a fight and the alarm (face palm). About how the skills feel .. yeah! they feel cool! Some of the animations are bad ass! I've seen people complaining about the animation for the Shadow Kill that is not as good as the one from the 1st game but considering that now you can do it long distance (did I mention how OP the skill tree is?) I think looks cool!

The developers keep working and we see updates for the game every once in a while. So we can hope all the bugs to get squashed in the future (finger crossed). Additionally, it looks this game will continue since the ending didn't look like it close the storyline. So it'll be bad if you miss this one. If you are hesitant, just wait when it goes on sale! :)

Thank you! That was very helpful. Fortunately, I plan to play the game with discord if I buy it. And while I am a bit concerned about the muliplayer bug issues, you indicate they can be avoided once you understand the causes. And if the Devs are still doing updates and patches, that helps alleviate that concern. Your answers were thorough, thanks!

As to multiplayer, that is a shame. Fortunately I have some friends who are more than open to patience, and thinking tactically.
